Vern investigated the furnace, ordered the part (we were hoping to avoid it), and his dad was coming over to see if there was a quick fix. Randomly the heat started working again. *facepalm*
So we have the part as a back-up, I suppose. lol Either way, I do not have to be bundled up in my own livingroom anymore& am very happy. ^_^
Vern and I were discussing this yesterday. While the equinoxes are more important, it seems like everyone primarily celebrates the winter solstice. Don't get me wrong, we do the presents& tree, but why does everyone shrug off the other days? Is it because there isn't a christian holiday around the same time? Seems wrong. (Also, sorry to anyone I was trying to chat with at the time, I started switching the words around, as we were discussing them lol)
Only an internet radio job, not the same thing. For one, the majority of their music& the player they had us all used were illegal as hell, and for two, they were pretty damn petty. It was like working for a sociopath without any work ethics.
So remember last year, when we had to replace a part in our furnace because there was no flame? Looks like we're having the same issue this year...and it waited for one of the coldest days so far to go out. :( Luckily, it's over 60, but I can't bring myself to do anything requiring water. Speaking of water....my sis is having issues, too. Apparently her pipes were ancient& finally burst on Friday. They no longer have hot water, and it was supposed to get fixed yesterday, but nobody did anything.
The best part? We're both hurting for money, and can't afford to have issues right now. The Van Ness sisters fail at winter life, and I want a wood stove.
love always, Jenna

I keep trying to get into the holiday spirit, but it just doesn't seem to be working. I'll get excited about something, but it doesn't happen or live up to the hyper. (I'm sure part of it is being broke, but still) Hopefully seeing The Nutcracker today will help, that always seems to make me feel better.
